How Do I Obtain the Best Fit on My Dribblestop® Clamp

Posted on: October 18th, 2011 by BP/Admin

Remember, the goal is to wear the clamp tight enough to stop urine leakage, but not so tight the clamp is either uncomfortable or hurts. With the correct fit you should be unaware the clamp is on.

The best method to find your correct fit is to start with the small link on the fixed end of the clamp and the medium link on the latch end, using the outer notches. This is a MEDIUM FIT.  If this is too tight, try the medium link on the fixed end and the large link on the latch end. If leakage occurs try moving the link on the latch end to the inside notch.  Continue with other links and notches until the clamp is comfortable and leakage stops.

Moving the link to the inside notch makes the clamp size smaller.
Moving the link to the outside notch makes the clamp size larger.

It is important to keep the penis centered in the middle of the clamp.

Try and avoid the mistake of thinking the tighter the clamp the more effective it will be. If you wear the clamp too tight the penis may have a tendency to slip to the side and leakage will occur.

During activities that involve lifting, straining or exerting yourself you may want to wear the clamp a bit tighter to avoid dribbling.  On the other hand, many men do not leak when lying down so you may want to loosen the clamp one notch when you retire for the night.

What Do You Mean My Incontinence Is Permanent?

Posted on: April 4th, 2011 by BP/Admin

How many men have uttered those words in disbelief and incredulous panic?

Henry Rennich had absolutely no control of his bladder after surgery for prostate cancer. He tried Kegal exercises but they didn’t work for him. He dismissed surgery as too invasive and not guaranteed. Drugs? Henry decided this was not an option due to the severity and degree of his incontinence. Pads or diapers? Is that really an option?  No man wants to wear pads or diapers. Henry tried incontinence clamps, but was disappointed as they just did not live up to their promise of bladder control.

“Necessity is the mother of invention.” The author of this proverbial saying isn’t known, but those words certainly took on clarity when Henry decided that only the man who has need of an incontinence control device can come up with the perfect incontinence control device. Incontinence was not going to rule his life, so he put his own ideas and plans into action.

Henry invented the Dribblestop® Male Urinary Incontinence Clamp out of necessity.

There is no other clamp on the market that even comes close to Henry’s vision of the perfect incontinence clamp: affordable, small and discreet, safe and easy to use, completely washable and non-absorbent, comfortable, lightweight with no metal parts or known allergens (such as latex), size adjustable to suit any mans’ requirements, may be worn 24/7 and best of all it does the job it was designed to do – controls urinary incontinence so you can get back to living your life.

The Dribblestop® is the perfect solution for managing male urinary incontinence. Henry has no need for pads, diapers, surgery or drugs. He is wearing the Dribblestop® clamp and no longer worries about his loss of bladder control.  Social activities are back on his calendar.

How would you like to throw those pads and diapers back in the closet?  If you want to regain your active lifestyle and start loving your life again – then the Dribblestop® Clamp was made for you.

Male Urinary Incontinence? Who do you call for help?

Posted on: March 14th, 2011 by BP/Admin

So who do you call if you have loss of bladder control?  Who is going to help you regain control of your bladder and your life?  That is the question that plagues millions…..yes millions ….of men around the world.  Most men who have this debilitating condition don’t talk about it with their friends, or their doctor, or even close family members.  It is a subject that men are too embarrassed or reluctant to discuss so they close themselves off from society, stay home and suffer in silence.  Incontinence changes lives and changes lifestyles. Sadly, it also changes many men from being physically and socially active to reclusive and despondent.  But it does not have to be this way.

What options do men have?  There are pads, diapers, waste collection devices, catheters, drugs and medications, behavioral therapy, electrical stimulation, Kegal exercises (and the list goes on and on) but none of these are on any man’s wish list if he plans on living an active, healthy lifestyle. Surgery, which always has its risks, is another choice but usually as a last resort and it is not always successful or guaranteed. But there is a simple, effective solution to managing male urinary incontinence:  the Dribblestop® Male Urinary Incontinence Clamp.

The Dribblestop® is an external clamp worn just behind the head of the penis and when in a closed position applies gentle pressure to the urethra; stopping urine flow and providing full control of bladder leakage. This clamp is far superior to any other incontinence clamp on the market.

The Dribblestop® clamp is lightweight and convenient. Just select a different sized link for your personal size preference, open the clamp when you have the urge to pass water and close again to control leakage. It is that simple. The clamp is so small and comfortable you won’t even feel you have it on.

The clamp is lined with medical foam that will not absorb liquid (not important until you discover other clamps are made of sponge rubber, or open cell foam that will not only absorb liquid but will retain a urine smell). Other clamps may also contain latex which has proven to cause hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.

The outer shell of the Dribblestop® is all plastic. Many other types of clamps contain metal. This may seem pretty trivial until the first time you go through some security system (like the airport) and set off the alarm bells and then need to explain to the security personnel, and everyone else within earshot, just what you have in your pants that is metal.

The Dribblestop® is size adjustable, washable, discreet, easy to use and safe, and is approved by both Health Canada and the FDA in the USA.  A prescription from your doctor is not required. Due to the unique safe design of the clamp it can be worn all day and all night.  Most other clamps do not have that bragging right.

I hope I have given some insight as to who you can call if you want to control your bladder leakage and get back to living a normal life with dignity and confidence.  The Dribblestop can give you that opportunity.

Do you have story to share about the Dribblestop®?  How did you hear about the Dribblestop® Clamp?  Was it a recommendation from your physician? Or perhaps a buddy who uses the clamp and is back out there golfing, travelling and dancing? Or were you just searching the internet trying to find out who to call to help you with your bladder problem?  Want to share your story?  Have a question? Contact us here.
